I usually paint two sizes of scarves, a small size that comes down to the waist when worn and a longer size that comes down to one’s fingertips. I put an image on both ends so the images show when the scarf is worn.
Painting scarves, for me, is much like a daily practice, like writing in my journal, or doing a meditation. It always starts out as a white scarf, the blank slate, which can become anything that wishes to be painted today.
